The recent COVID-19 pandemic has brought the U.S. economy to a standstill. The pain has extended to Otolaryngology practices, many of whom have reduced hours or temporarily closed. Fortunately, the recent passing of the CARES Act brings some much-needed help for practices in this time of crisis.
To help practices understand how all the programs work, their applicability to practices, and what is needed to access them, Earlens co-hosted a webinar, “Protecting Your Practice in an Uncertain Time: CARES Act Programs and More,” in conjunction with Thomas M. Krummel, MD, FACS/FAAP (Chairman Department of Surgery at Stanford University 1998-2015) and Lauren Horneffer (Associate in King & Spalding’s Special Matters and Government Investigations Practice).
The webinar draws on Earlens’ access to leading law firms and medical device lobbying organizations to help ENT practices clearly understand the new bill, what program(s) are most applicable, and how to apply for them quickly. Webinar participants also received access to additional downloadable resources, including:
Paycheck Protection Program Overview, Borrower Information Fact Sheet and Application
Paycheck Protection Program Loan Calculator
Comparison of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury and Disaster (EIDL) Grants
CARES Act FAQ
